YPAC: Young Professionals Activities Club

ABOUT YPAC

YPAC (Young Professionals Activites Club) was created in October 2007 as a way to consolidate all of our sports and activites in one place. We're branching out and trying new things, to reach new members but to also give our current members different ways to meet new people and new activities to try!

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are a current, lapsed, or non-member. Joining the YPAC email list means you'll recieve event emails, but you'll also be the first to hear about our sports and activities.

Volleyball Update! (5/8/08)

NEWS FLASH:  Team Pabst Blue Ribbon Wins the FINALS!   They are the LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

PBR struggled past Zima in the first round and took out Schlitz for the Championship in two games.  (The theme for team names this season was cheap beers.)

The league will now continue with Open Play for the next three weeks and then we'll start up another 11-week season with new scrambled up teams.   If you are interested in playing volleyball, come out during the Open Play weeks, and check it out.  Steve will give you a hearty welcome and get you  on the courts.

The Young Pros Volleyball League is an easy (beginner to moderate) league of coed six person teams, played outdoors on 2 sand courts.  The league plays on Mondays from 7pm to 11pm at Pompano Community Park.  The park is located along the west side of US-1 a few blocks north of Atlantic Blvd, and the courts are visible from US-1.  The park entrance is on NE 10th St.

League fees are $40 per person, and 100% is donated to Covenant House.  For more info, e-mail the League Organizer, Steve Hillberg at SRHillberg@Yahoo.com.

Message from the league organizer:  Thanks to everyone for playing, and donating to the Covenant House this season.  We had a great time and benefited kids that really need help.  It can't get much better than that.
