Activities Club/Sports

The Young Professionals for Covenant House has its own volleyball league, softball team, and plans regular indoor and outdoor activities such as kayaking, bowling, etc.

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are a current member or non-member. Contact the team coordinators below or sign-up at the top right of the page to receive updates and invitations to all our fun activities.

VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE: Monday Nights

Pompano Community Park: (located along the west side of US-1 a few blocks north of Atlantic Blvd. & just south of NE 14th Street Causeway). You can see the lit courts from US-1.
 

NEW Season starts soon:

• 10 Teams of Coed "sixes", 10 Week Season
• Recreational Level  - Easy, Relaxed League
• Times: 7, 8 and 9 pm Game times (1 Court is free at 9 for anyone to play, and "Diehards" play until the lights go off after 10:30)
• Each season, teams are scrambled and new teams are formed.
• If you want to play, but don’t have a team, don’t worry. We'll find one for you.
• Donation of $40 pp each season
• Can't commit to every Monday night? No problem, all teams need subs.

SOFTBALL TEAM: Thursday Nights at Mills Pond Park (Fort Lauderdale)

Mills Pond Park (located on Powerline Road between Oakland Park Blvd. and Sunrise Blvd.)
 

 NEW Season starts soon:

• Co-ed team, recreational level
• 10 Week Season
• Playoff games for the top 4 teams in each division
• 6 Guys, 6 Girls needed 
• Must bring own equipment (glove, bat, etc.)
• 1 Hour Games from 6:45 pm - 9:45 pm
• Donation of $40 pp each season
